Classic Green Bean Casserole, from Erin
Erin wrote this out for Gael in a recipe binder she gave her as a wedding present in 1993. She wrote “I have found this to be a great dish to take to pot luck, but I double the recipe and use a 2 ½ qt dish. I also never use soy sauce. Enjoy!”
1 can cream of mushroom soup
½ c milk
1 t soy sauce
Dash pepper
2 cans any style green beans, drained
1 can Durkee French Fried Onions
Conventional oven: In 1 ½ qt dish, combine soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper. Stir in beans and half-can of onions. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Top with rest of onions. Bake 5 minutes more.
Microwave: Combine as above, but bake for 10 minutes. Add rest of onions, bake for 3 more minutes.
