Orange Julius, from Gael
Orange Julius, from GaelI used to love to get these at Rosedale! Now they have all kinds of fancy flavors but in the old days, there was only orange, and it was a big novelty when they added strawberry! I swear I remembered powdered sugar in this recipe, but maybe not?
1 1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup water
3 T egg white or egg white substitute
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 ½ cup ice
Combine all of the ingredients except ice in a blender set on high speed. Blend 15-30 seconds to dissolve sugar. Add the ice, blend 10-15 seconds or so.
