Beer Cheese Soup, from Ceil

Dated 11-13-89. Mom wrote: Serve with popcorn


1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
2/3 cup milk
13 3/4 ounces chicken broth
8 ounces Cheez Whiz
1/4 cup beer
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce


Melt butter, stir in flour till smooth. Add milk and broth gradually (use wire whisk). Heat and stir until bubbly and thick.


Reduce heat, add cheese and stir until melted. Simmer 5-10 minutes. Heat through but don't boil.
